Ingredients

Bomb Pop Cocktail
  • 1 oz grenadine syrup Pour slowly to settle as the bottom red layer.
  • 1 oz coconut rum or vanilla vodka Slowly float to form the middle white layer.
  • 1 oz blue raspberry vodka or blue curaçao Float over a spoon to create the top electric blue layer.
  • 0.5 oz lemon-lime soda Add last as a small splash; avoid stirring before serving.
  • 1 ice cubes Fill the glass to the top for the cleanest layer separation.
  • 1 Maraschino cherry and striped straw for garnish Use as a garnish only; add after layering is complete.

Method

Layer the cocktail
  1. Fill a tall cocktail glass with ice cubes to the top so the layers stay separated.
  2. Pour grenadine syrup slowly over the ice; let it settle at the bottom as the red layer without disturbing the surface.
  3. Hold a bar spoon just above the ice and slowly pour coconut rum or vanilla vodka over the back of the spoon to create the white middle layer.
  4. Pour blue raspberry vodka or blue curaçao over the spoon again to float as the top layer, keeping the stream gentle and steady.
  5. Add a small splash of lemon-lime soda and garnish with a maraschino cherry and striped straw; do not stir before serving.

Notes

For the cleanest tri-color stack, pour each liquid slowly over the spoon and keep the glass full of ice; stirring will blur the layers. Serve immediately for best separation. Store leftovers in the fridge up to 1 day, but layers will soften—freezing is not recommended. Dietary swap: use lemon-lime soda plus a non-alcoholic coconut rum/vanilla vodka and non-alcoholic blue raspberry alternative if you want a nonalcoholic version.
